Life time

Life and Grace
By Ohiosumuan Ihonde Wilson (Jnr)

Sometimes in life, things can feel like rush hour, and other times they move much slower.

But being slow in life doesn’t mean you are slow in everything you do.

Take the snail for example: it may crawl for hours just to reach its destination, but the fact that it is slow does not mean it won’t get there. What matters most is not the pace, but the focus — the determination to keep moving towards the destination.

So, our thinking, our focus, and our direction are what truly determine where we end up.

Even if we live in a world of ordinary people, there will always be a few extraordinary ones — those who dare to do extraordinary things.

Life does not always treat you right, even when it seems like it does. You may have wealth, exotic cars, mansions, beautiful wives, lovely children, thriving companies, and much more. Yet, what if life still feels empty and miserable despite all that?

It takes the grace of God for a man with a heart of gold to live a life of true peace.

Grace abounds everywhere, but if you cannot recognize it, then you are blind in a world already full of grace.

Life is about withholding nothing, because everything we have comes from someone — God. You may think your achievements are the results of your hard work, but remember: many people work tirelessly, day and night, yet have not achieved what they desire. That doesn’t make them lazy — it only means their appointed time has not yet come.

Fear and its Power

FEAR KILLS BEFORE WE DIE

Fear is an unreal reality — a shadow that cripples real abilities meant to make a difference in our lives.

There are two kinds of fear: the fear we have, and the fear that has us. The first begins like a small whisper, a tender threat we ignore. With time, it grows into a mountain too heavy to move, because we nurture it with acceptance and ignorance. When we dwell too long in this prison, fear makes us its captive, paralyzing our will and draining our strength until it kills the very essence of who we are.

The second — the fear that possesses a man — is the greatest enemy of all. Though fear is dead and unreal, it kills the living by making them walking corpses, bound in chains of doubt and defeat.

But how can something unreal feel so real?
Because fear becomes alive in the hearts of those who accommodate it, whether through ignorance or laziness. As long as fear is welcomed, it will always seem real and will control the boundaries of our lives.

There is, however, one fear that gives life: the fear of the Creator. The Bible says “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” This holy fear empowers us to face every false fear of the world. For out of Him we were created, and only in Him can we be redeemed.

May God grant us the wisdom to fear Him rightly, and the courage to walk free from every other fear.
